Acupuncture/Dry-Needling & Laser Therapy
Acupuncture/Dry-Needling
Acupuncture is the insertion of very thin, fine needles into the body in order to decrease pain and promote healing. By stimulating the acupuncture needles, either manually or through electrical stimulation, a neurological response is produced. This stimulation causes the body to produce higher levels of natural circulating pain killers (ie endorphins).

Studies have shown that the effects of acupuncture can help reduce pain. Acupuncture also stimulates healing, in the area where applied, by increasing blood flow to the affected structure. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions including: back pain and sciatica, neck pain and radiating pain, headaches, shoulder and knee pain, and osteoarthritis.

Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is an effective, non-invasive, drug-free pain management solution that has minimal side effects. Laser therapy has been used as a means for reducing pain and speeding healing for over 30 years.
Laser therapy exposes cells of the body to light, and particular wavelengths of light are able to produce photo-chemical reactions thereby stimulating the cells of the body into producing more energy. This causes the cells to improve the efficiency of the body’s healing capabilities. The result is that the body is able to heal itself in a shorter period of time.
What can laser therapy help with?
Research demonstrates that Laser Therapy can be used to effectively treat many conditions. Stimulating the body’s natural repair processes using the healing nature of light has been proven to particularly be effective for certain conditions including:
-
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
-
Knee Pain
-
Rotator Cuff Injuries
-
Arthritis Pain
-
Back Pain
-
Neck Pain
-
Tendonitis
